BADIN, June 18: Taluka Municipal Administration of Badin has been ordered to get removed the incomplete structure of a tower installed by the Pakistan Mobile Communication by June 25 as the site is surrounded by residential quarters in Bhurgari Mohalla. The directive was given by District Officer Revenue and Special Judicial Magistrate, Jawad Akram.

The cellular company previously continued work on tower amid protests by residents but left mid-way when Taluka Municipal Authorities cancelled its NOC.

Residents of Bhurgari Mohalla had earlier demanded the higher authorities to get removed the incomplete structure as it was causing nuisance and may lead to an ugly incident during monsoon.

Meanwhile, people of Ward-6 complained to Speaker National Assembly, Dr Fehmida Mirza against intentional delay by the authorities concerned in removing the incomplete structure of the BTS who assured them of an early solution to their problem.

A notice under section 133 CrPC was issued by the Special Judicial Magistrate on June 12, ordering the TMA to ensure removal of this dangerous construction within 15 days.

The residents further said that during recent strong winds, some anglers snapped from the incomplete tower.
