KARACHI, June 18: Five ships carrying containers, coal and to load naphtha are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Thursday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was slow where only three ships, APL Cairo, Harmony and Cape Negro to unload and load containers were berthed after the departure of Kota Gunawan and Merhbu.

Cape Negro, APL Cairo, Banglar Mamata, Kety-2 and Bilda are due to sail out on Thursday.

Cargo handling activity was, however, maintained on the higher side totaling 107,000 tons comprising 44,450 tons of export and 62,507 tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Thursday: Vinalines Glory to load 40,000 tons of naphtha, APL Pusan, Kapitan Byankin and Creek to unload and load containers and Medi Cork to offload coal.
