SIALKOT, June 17: Though the authorities concerned woke up for a short span and got as many as eight government school buildings vacated in the last few weeks from the influential, who had converted them into cattle sheds, there are several other school buildings in this district still under the entire or partial occupation of grabbers.

The drive launched vigorously by the district government with the help of police has halted without any reason and some officials say it was nothing but eyewash.

However, Sialkot DCO Capt Atta Muhammad Khan says the district government would resume the drive soon.

The district and provincial governments remained unable to get the school buildings vacated from influential land grabbers due to a large-scale interference by politicians.
