LAHORE, June 15: The imposition of 10 per cent withholding tax on electricity bills exceeding Rs20,000 will increase the cost of production which is already highest in the world.

Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry president Tanvir Ahmad Sheikh said this here on Sunday.

He said that Pakistani products could neither compete in local nor international markets if all the new taxes and duties proposed in the federal budget were paid. — APP
