HYDERABAD, June 15: The Sindh government has declared as calamity-hit areas 153 dehs of three talukas of Dadu district and five talukas of Qambar-Shahdadkot district which were hit by heavy rains, floods and breaches in different waterways during Kharif season of 2007.

According to a notification issued by the provincial additional relief commissioner on Saturday, the dehs of Mehar taluka of Dadu declared calamity-hit are: Saeedpur, Asteelo, Fareedabad, Basharat Katchehry, Garkhan, Ghari Reti, Ghari Jagir, Ghanehro, Nath, Chhallo, Balko, Charo, Sadhar, Med Dero, Kanaro Kakhol, Kasero, Dadhar and Dakhani Pal of taluka Mehar.

The calamity-hit dehs of Khairpur Nathan Shah taluka of Dadu are: Abad Jagir, Ghalipur Reti, Ghalipur Jagir, Aahori Reti, Aahori Jagir, Esso Narejo Reti, Esso Narejo Jagir, Khanban Nangan, Phakratho, Khairpur, Fatehpur, Qaumi Charo, Maha, Mado Reti, Mado Jagir, Qambar Reti, Qambar Jagir, Gozo Rap, Kharkat Bahadpur, Beejaho Achal, Bola Reti, Dengo, Mir Mohammad, Kor Kanaro, Kario Matho Zangejo, Jandan, Khero Kanaro, Pasia, Charo and Beatkal.

The calamity-hit dehs of Johi taluka of Dadu include: Ghaha, Dara Machhi, Norari, Abad, Pir Dhanwari, Pat Khawnari Kharack, Sakro, Drigh Hathem Khat, Qabo Qalandar, Pholi Rayati and Pul ji Jagir.

The calamity-hit dehs of Qambar taluka of Qambar-Shahdadkot district are: Kohistan, Jagir-1, Jagir-2, Jagir-4, Vikro, Daheero, Wariasu, Karohar, Jagir-6, Bagh Jagir, Nauzaman, Jagir-3, Panhwaro, Khai Meehoon, Fatuhal, Mohabbat Buledi, Kor Suleman and Kor Hassan.

The dehs of Meero Khan taluka include: Kalhora, Kaim Gopang, Kor Mohabbat, Kor Ismail, Rup, Chachari, Phonehro, Behram Matheen, Kor Ibrahim, Allahabad, Wee, Allah Rakhyo and Thull.

The dehs of Wahra taluka are: Mirpur, Nang Daro, Threeth, Sunahri, Gul Buriro, Hamid Wah, Chandni Jagir, Ghari Jagir, Chak Basharat, Mirzapur, Chak Fareedabad-1, Chak Fareedabad-2, Chak Basharat (un-surveyed), Mamal Kattri, Chak Abad, Ghaji Khawar, Gari Makoro, Jogi, Khado, Potho and Kalar.

The 33 dehs of Kubbo Saeed Khan taluka and two dehs of Sahadadkot taluka, Sandhu and Ghanhar, have also been declared calamity-affected areas.
