HYDERABAD, May 2: The activists of the Sindh People’s Students Federation, (SPSF-SB), led by Dr Saleem Bhatti staged a token hunger strike outside the press club on Thursday to protest against the inordinate delay in the dispensation of justice in Mir Murtaza Bhutto murder case and the construction of greater Thal canal project.

They appealed to Gen Pervez Musharraf to hang the murderers of Mir Murtaza Bhutto and his companions.

They termed the project a conspiracy against Sindh and said that it would convert Sindh into a desert.

They added that 1.2 million acres land of Sindh had already been rendered barren and the total economic loss to the province was around Rs150 billion.

They warned that if justice was not restored in Mir Murtaza Bhutto murder case and Thal canal project was not shelved, the Shaheed Bhutto group would enlarge the scope of protest to whole of Sindh.
