Trader, two sons shot dead

QUETTA, June 4: A Hindu trader and his two sons were gunned down in Sani Shoran area of Bolan district on Wednesday night.

According to police sources, two armed men barged into the house of Pritam Das and opened fire, injuring him and killing his sons Dlip Kumar and Pram Kumar. Police took the injured trader to the Dhadar Civil Hospital where he died.

A police offer said the family had been moved to Dera Murad Jamali last month because they were receiving threats pertaining to karo-kari and they had returned to the area two days ago.

Two tribesmen killed

Two Bugti tribesmen were killed in a landmine explosion in Sobhosadrani area of tehsil Sui on Wednesday.

According to police sources, Fateh Din Bugti and Sher Ahmed Bugti were on their way home when they hit a landmine.

“Both the tribesmen were killed in the powerful explosion,” an officer of Sui police said, adding that it was a locally-made landmine.
