KARACHI, June 4: Nine ships carrying containers, crude oil and vehicles are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Thursday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was modest where three ships, Itha Bhym, Kuo Hung to unload and load containers and Kety-2 to offload and load general cargo were berthed, while four ships departed.

The departing ships were led by Mol Admiration, Mare Threcium, Orient Stride and Magway, while Itha Bhum, Kuo Hung and Csav Teno are due to sail out on Wednesday.

A total tonnage of 70,064 tons comprising 36,028 tons of export cargo and 34,036 tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Thursday: Johar, Merbabu with crude oil, Global Progress, Creek, Harmony, Global Prosperity, Rhoneborg, Eric G. Gibson with containers and Winco Silvia with vehicles.
