LPG prices raised by Rs3 per kg

KARACHI, May 29: LPG Distributors Association Pakistan chairman Abdul Hadi Khan has said that after a gap of only five days marketing companies in connivance with the producers have raised the prices of liquefied petroleum gas by Rs3 per kg.

In a statement issued here on Thursday, he said that after fresh increase LPG was being sold in Karachi at Rs54 per kg, Rs570 per 11.8kg cylinder and Rs2,193 per 45.4kg cylinder, in Lahore at Rs58 per kg, Rs610 per 11.8kg cylinder and Rs2347 per 45.4kg cylinder while in the NWFP and Northern Areas at Rs63 per kg.

He said that the consumers were being deprived of cheap LPG despite its de-linking with Saudi contract price by the caretaker prime minister.—PPI
