HYDERABAD, May 28: The sacked lady health workers of Tando Allahyar district protested against abrupt termination of their services outside the press club, on Wednesday.

Talking to journalists they said the EDO Health terminated the service of 42 lady health workers without reason who were appointed in Chambar taluka in January last by District Nazim Rahila Gul Magsi.

They said that they received 2-1/2-month of training at their expense while training for another 15 days was yet to complete. They termed the termination ‘a great injustice.’

They appealed to Asif Ali Zardari to take notice of the matter and order their re-instatement as the move will tarnish the image of peoples’ government.

HESCO: The Hyderabad Electric Supply Company appointed six teams to check power theft and recover dues in Tando Allah Yar district, said Superintending Engineer Hesco Hyderabad, Muzaffar Hussain Abbasi on Wednesday.
