LAHORE, May 28: The Lahore Art Council will shortly arrange a special evening in honour of Mehdi Hassan, the living legend of Pakistani music. This was said by Punjab Culture & Youth Affairs Minister Dr Tanvirul Islam here on Wednesday.

The minister went to the residence of legendry singer Mehdi Hassan to inquire after him, according to official sources.

Paying rich tribute to the services of the music maestro, he said Mehdi Hassan had given a unique style to ghazal-singing in the subcontinent, and his rich voice touched the hearts of all listeners through decades.
