SUKKUR, May 28: Public opinion leaders continue to protest against the proposed handing over of 33-year-old Public School Sukkur to the Overseas Pakistanis Foundation (OPF) on the plea that it was being done to hand over 50-acre area to builders for a four-star hotel.

This was stated at a press conference by PML-Q and Mahar group leaders Jameel Sahito, Syed Tahir Hussain Shah and Syed Sardar Ali Shah advocate.

They said the OPF constructed schools with its overseas investment in Larkana and Dadu in only two-room buildings and it was surprising the federal ministry in connivance with the Sindh government hurriedly concluded an MOU to hand over the school building to the Foundation.

They said a public interest petition had already been filed in the Sindh High Court Sukkur Bench by advocate Shabbir Shar, while another by a group of local traders and social leaders is being filed by Jameel Sahito in the same bench on Thursday (today).
