MITHI, May 24: Tharparkar District Nazim Arbab Anwar has cancelled transfer and posting orders of 47 HSTs and supervisors of primary education (SPEs) of Tharparkar district who had been transferred or posted by district coordination officer of Tharparkar recently.

District nazim in his order said that district coordination officer of Tharparkar had made transfers and postings of SPEs/HSTs without any lawful authority and in violation of provisions of Sections 13, 18-g and 28-g of the Sindh Local Government Ordinance 2001 and rules 5 and 6 read with schedule-II of SLGO 2001 (Conduct of Business Rules 2001).

The order, he stated, had adversely affected the district administration and the conduct of examinations in the entire district.

The order had no legal sanctity, he added.

The order read that: “therefore these posting and transfers are cancelled with immediate effect and the officials SPEs/HSTs are directed to work on their original posts held on May 9”.

When contacted, the DCO of Tharparkar, Tamizuddin Khero, claimed that as he was empowered under relevant rules to issue such transfer orders, hence he issued these orders on administrative grounds and disciplinary action would be initiated against those employees, who would not comply with his (DCO) orders.
