HYDERABAD, May 24: Former chairman of Hyderabad district council, Pir Khalid Saeed Jan Sarhandi said that the elected representatives had disappeared after getting votes and they were nowhere to be seen in Tando Mohammad Khan.

He said at a news conference at his residence on Saturday that the elected representatives should return to their constituencies and solve people’s problems.

He said that price hike had broken the back of common man and urged the government to provide some relief to people in the ensuing budget.

Mr Sarhandi supported the lawyers’ struggle for the restoration of sacked judges of superior judiciary and reminded the government that the masses had not voted for PPP but for late Benazir Bhutto, who had sacrificed her life for democracy and people.

The government owed it to late Benazir Bhutto to complete her mission by providing relief to the poor, he added.
