FAISALABAD, May 23: A man was killed and three others sustained injuries when the wall of a mosque fell on them during a windstorm in Chak 279-RB in Razabad police station limits on Friday.

Reports said Tariq, Riaz, Asif and Riasat received multiple injuries after the wall of Anwar-i-Madina mosque caved in. The Rescue 1122 shifted the injured to Allied Hospital where one of the injured died.

BAHAWALPUR: Around two dozen people were injured, eight of them seriously, after a strong dust storm hit the district.

The high-intensity dust storm also uprooted several trees and electric poles throughout the district. It also caused suspension of electricity in most parts of the city.

It is learnt that the damage of utility poles was so extensive that the power supply could not be restored till Saturday.
