GUJRAT, May 23: Police on Friday exhumed the body of a man who was killed allegedly by his wife some seven months ago.
It is learnt that Surayya Begum of Khutalla killed her husband, Muhammad Altaf, in September last and buried him in the forest area known as Bela Chenab.
On the report of Altaf’s brother, the police arrested and quizzed Surayya who confessed to the crime.
A police team reached the spot on Friday and exhumed the body.
No case had been registered till the filing of this report.
