MITHI, May 21: A returning officer has been informed of the shifting of record along with the school from Nagaraparkar to Islamabad when he sought papers for the verification of a candidate’s age.

The Returning Officer PS-62 Nagarparkar, Rasool Bux Mijrat on Tuesday rejected nomination papers of Pakistan Muslim League-Q candidate for being underage.

The PPP candidate Mohammad Maeen Bajir had raised objection at the nomination of Mr Naimatullah alleging that he was underage to contest elections as per his school leaving certificate.

The RO sent for the principal of school along with the relevant record to verify Naimatullah’s age. Instead, a representative of the school appeared before the RO with the plea that the school which issued the certificate to Naimatullah had been shifted to Islamabad along with record. Hence the required record could not be produced in the court.

The RO rejected nomination papers of Arbab Naimatullah.

Meanwhile, nomination papers of PML-Q candidates Arbab Sikandar, Shoukat Ali Malkani, Qamaruddin Rahoomo and Haji Amin Samejo had reportedly been accepted along with the PPP candidates Sharjil Inam Memon, Kamal Chang, Sunil Kumar Malani, Mir Amanullah Talpur, Maeen Bajir and Pir Imdad Ali Shah for PS-62.
