Petrol dearth

Published May 21, 2008

MIANWALI, May 20: The district is facing an acute shortage of petrol due to strike by carriage contractors for the last three days.

District petroleum association chairman Haji Khurshid Anwar Khan says fuel supply has been disrupted for the last three days owing to the strike.

Carriage contractors are demanding an increase in their freight and provision of security on roads.

He says even depots at Kundian, Kotla Jam and Sher Shah do not have petrol stock.
