LAHORE, May 19: Lahore Fighter Club will take on Fatima Club in a Group ‘A’ match when the inaugural National Women Football Club Championship commences at Punjab University, Old Campus Ground on Tuesday.

The matches at Sialkot and Islamabad will also begin on Tuesday while matches in Karachi Zone are slated for next month.

The Lahore-based Group ‘A’ is comprises of Lahore Fighter Club, Fatima Club, Sports Sciences Club and WP Club.

The Pakistan Football Federation has announced the following schedule:

May 20: Lahore Fighter v Fatima Club (Punjab University, Old Campus Ground); Bhagwal Channan FC v Layyah Young Rising Star (Bhagwal Awan Ground, Sialkot); Vehari’s Young Rising Star v Suddhar Channan Club (SOS Village Sialkot); Maragala Club v Rawalpindi’s Young Rising Star (Jinnah Stadium,

Islamabad); Balochistan United v Peshawar Fata Club (OPF Ground, Sector H/8, Islamabad).May 21: WP Club v Sports Sciences Club (Punjab University, Old Campus Ground).

May 22: Bhagwal’s Channan FC v Suddhar’s Channan FC (Bhagwal Awan Ground); Vehari Young Rising Star v Layyah Young Rising Star (SOS Village Sialkot); Margalla Club v Peshawar Fata Club (Jinnah Stadium, Islamabad); Balochistan United v Rawalpindi Young Rising Star (OPF Ground, Sector H/8, Islamabad).

May 23: Lahore Fighter v Sports Sciences Club (Punjab University, Old Campus Ground, Lahore).
