TOBA TEK SINGH, May 18: A prisoner and a warden sustained injuries during a clash between two groups of prisoners at district jail here on Sunday afternoon.

Reports said two groups, led by Rana Sultan alias Sultani and Tariq alias Tahiri Randhawa, had a clash. The Sultani group's 70 prisoners attacked barrack No.5 of Randhawa group and climbed on its roof. They started raising slogans against Randhawa. Both the groups pelted stones at each other as a result a warden and an inmate suffered injuries. Later the jail warden and the police controlled the situation.

When contacted jail superintendent Sheikh Azhar Hayat said action would be taken against the prisoners who were involved in disruption.

FOUND DEAD: A youth was found dead under mysterious circumstances at Rajana, Kamalia, on Sunday.
