LAHORE, May 18: The People’s Lawyers Forum (PLF) and the Khosa group will hold its annual convention here on May 24 to take the lawyers’ community into confidence on the PPP stand on freedom of judiciary and restoration of judges.

A decision to this effect was taken during a meeting of the forum held here on Sunday with Senator Sardar Muhammad Latif Khan Khosa in the chair.

Mr Khosa said that similar conventions would be held in other provinces as well.

A committee, headed by Khawar Mahmood, has been constituted to make arrangements for the Lahore Convention.

Forum President Mian Hanif Tahir said the first convention was being held in Punjab because the lawyers’ community in the province recognized the sacrifices rendered by the PPP for it.
