Peace rally in Sri Lanka

COLOMBO, April 30: Hundreds of buses, trucks, cars and three- wheelers decorated with colourful trimmings and peace slogans travelled from Colombo to Jaffna on Tuesday.

The rally is considered as the biggest pro-peace display from South to North, and commenced via the newly-opened A9 route connecting Colombo and Jaffna. The peace rally was cheered and greeted on its way by thousands of supporters.
