ISLAMABAD, May 12: Shoaib Hasan, Owais Khan, Kashif Khan and Waqar Mehboob — reached the main round of the President PSF International Squash Championship after winning their qualifying matches at the Jansher Khan Squash Complex, Abbottabad on Monday.

In the day’s first match Shoaib defeated Aurangzeb Khan 11-6, 11-8, 11-4. In other clashes Owais ousted Ejaz Tahkali 11-4, 11-6, 11-6, Kashif edged out Aqib Hanif 10-11 (0-2), 11-8, 11-10 (2-0), 11-10 (2-0) and Waqar beat Wasim Shad 10-11 (0-2), 11-10 (3-1) 11-10 (2-0), 11-10 (2-0).

The main round of the event will start today with a draw of 16 players.

Farhan Mehboob is the top seed of the tournament which carries prize money of $12,000.
