RAWALPINDI, May 10: Additional District and Sessions Judge Rana Mohammad Ali on Saturday issued non-bailable arrest warrants of SHO Westridge for not appearing in the court despite repeated calls to file his reply in an application seeking registration of a criminal case.

The judge ordered that the directives should be carried out through the office of City Police Officer and the SHO should be produced in the court on May 14.

In the application under section 22-A, petitioner Saleem Shahzad alleged that the Westridge police were not registering a criminal case against his friend Azmat Ali whom he had lent his car in October. He alleged that the car was damaged in an accident by Azmat who refused to pay the damages and threatened him with dire consequences if he demanded compensation.

Meanwhile, Additional District and Sessions Judge Mohammad Iqbal Malik issued non-bailable arrest warrants of another SI of Saddar Berooni police for not appearing in the court as a key witness in a murder case. The judge ordered that the official should be produced in the court on May 13.
