JAMMU, April 27: Indian forces on Saturday claimed killing ten Mujahideen in occupied Kashmir.

A spokesman said troops shot dead eight Mujahideen in two gunbattles in the Poonch district, 250kms north of occupied Jammu.

“The identity of the slain militants (Mujahideen) is not known yet as the details are still pouring in,” a police official said.

In another incident, seven Indian soldiers were wounded when freedom fighters ambushed their vehicle in the Rajouri district, police said.

Earlier on Saturday, two Mujahideen and a civilian were killed in another gunbattle in Anantnag district.—Reuters
