ISLAMABAD, May 1: Sara Mahboob, Sara Mansoor, Mehreen Izhar, Shahida Kauser and Saba Aziz qualified for the next round of the Ladies National Tennis Championship played at the Islamabad Club on Thursday.

On the opening day of the tournament, top seeded, Sara Mahboob stamped her authority when she cruised to an easy

6-1, 6-0 win over Major General Shahida Badshah.

Second seed, Sara Mansoor, displayed an awesome performance defeating Fatima Mansoor 6-1, 6-1.

The four-day tournament carries a prize money of Rs 250,000. Final of the tournament will be played on Sunday.
