BUNER, May 1: MNA from Buner Abdul Mateen Khan advocate has said that the capacity of the local power grid station would be enhanced to 132KV and that the district would be provided with the gas facility.

Talking to Dawn here on Thursday, he said he was assured by Prime Minster Yusuf Raza Gilani during a recent meeting in Islamabad that his government would extend all-out support to carry out the projects and to resolve the problems of the people of Buner.

The MNA added that during the meeting the PM issued directives to the authorities concerned to submit before him a feasibility report of the two projects with immediate effect. The MNA said that he had directed the Wapda officials to reduce the duration of the loadshedding to six hours in 24 hours.

Mr Mateen said that though the people were facing a multiple of problems but the problem of power and water shortage was more acute.

He said that all out efforts would be made to put the district on the path of progress and prosperity and bring positive changes in the lives of the people.
