KARACHI, April 26: The HSC Commerce (regular) annual examinations will commence on May 7, it was learnt officially.

A senior official of the examination department of the Board of Intermediate Education, Karachi, said that on May 7, papers of first-year principle of economics-I/commercial economics-I (old course) would be conducted from 10am to 1pm. The second-year paper of principle of economics would be held on May 8.

The official said the date sheets of the examinations of all faculties would be delivered to the representatives of colleges at the board on April 27. The first-year Chemistry and second year Zoology papers of the pre-medical group would be held on May 7 and May 8 respectively, while Geology-I, Geography-I and Computer Science-I papers of pre-engineering group (first-year) would be held on May 3, 6 and 7.

To a question, the official said major papers of the pre-engineering group would start from May 8. Chemistry-II and Statistics-II papers of second-year would be held on May 8.

Meanwhile, the candidates have expressed dissatisfaction over the BIE, saying that delay in the release of exam schedules was causing mental agony to them. They urged that the BIE should release the date sheets immediately so that students could concentrate on their study.
