KARACHI, April 26: A young man was shot dead in Buffer Zone on Friday.
The police said that a young man, who had been initially unidentified, but later identified as Raja Zafar, aged 21, was shot dead by three unidentified men, riding on a motorcycle, in front of a gift shop in sector 11-C in Muslim Town, Buffer Zone. The assailants escaped.
The young man died on the spot. He suffered four bullet wounds: three to the chest and one to the head.
The DSP Buffer Zone said that people who saw the assailants were unwilling to tell anything to the police. He, however, said that the killing seemed to have been caused by personal enmity, as the police recovered several love letters and photographs from the possession of the dead man. He was not a resident of the area and he might have come to visit someone, the DSP said.

Four cars were hijacked and three others stolen in Gulshan-i-Iqbal, Saddar, and New Town police limits.
