Lawyers’ Signature campaign

RAWALPINDI, April 28: More than 1,000 lawyers of the city on Monday signed on a register specially prepared to drum up the support of lawyers for the reinstatement of deposed judges, including chief justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry.

According to the press release issued by the Rawalpindi District Bar Association, a target has been set to get the signatures of 90,000 lawyers, civil society activists and politicians from all over the country. The register has been prepared by the Multan Bar Association.

The register after completion will be provided to the Gunnies World Record. Three representatives of the Multan Bar Association - Sikandar Javed, Afzal Shaukat and Asif Khan arrived at the Pindi bar along with the register.—Our Reporter
