NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, April 23: A man clubbed his brother-in-law to death and seriously injured his sister in Mubarak Buriro village late on Tuesday night, suspecting them of having an illicit relationship.

An FIR lodged by Ali Dost Buriro, brother of the deceased, said that a running dispute over money between his brother Mahaz Ali had and Mehrab led to the Mahaz’s murder. Mehrab attacked Mahaz with a club late on Tuesday night and killed him, he said.

AN official of Moro police station said that another FIR had been lodged against the accused for seriously injuring his sister Tahira on the complaint of Ms Jiandul, Meharb’s mother.Sources said that the accused Mehrab later surrendered himself to police but ASI Ghulam Mohammad Sehto denied reports of surrender and insisted investigation police had arrested him.

To a question, the ASI said that the accused had not so far given any statement. He would be produced in court on Thursday, he said.

Sources said that the accused had killed his brother-in-law on suspicion that he had developed illicit relations with his younger sister. The accused had attacked his sister with the intention to kill her after killing his brother-in-law but fortunately she escaped alive.

She was brought to Moro Taluka Hospital from where she was referred to NMC Hospital Nawabshah.
