KARACHI, April 23: Nine ships carrying chemicals and containers and to load cement and ethanol are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Thursday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was fairly active where Hyun Jin Ks-3 and Valbella to load cement, Bilda to load clinkers, APL Cairo, Lucky Man, Helenec Rickmers to unload and load containers, High Endurance and Estore, tankers, Banglar Maya to unload and load general cargo and Christina-L to offload coal were accommodated berths.

Cosco Dammam, Oel Strength, Pontica, Caribbean Carrier, Swat, Noor-i-Madina and Lalazar sailed out on Wednesday, while Mol Admiration, APL Cairo, Estore, High Endurance, Creek, Helenec Rickmers, Lucky Man, Mir Damad, Blida and Christian-L are due to depart on Thursday.

Cargo handling activity on the wharves was maintained on the higher side where a total tonnage of 0.101m tons comprising 33,782 tons of export cargo and 67,354 tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Thursday: Arabian Wind to load 12,500 tons of ethanol, Pertivi with 2,500 tons of chemicals, Oel Mumbat, Kota Puri, Hyundai Stride, Jurong Bebaru, Y.M. Inventive, Eric G. Gibson with containers and Sarti to load 4,500 tons of cement.
