10 of a family die on road

SHEIKHUPURA, April 20: Ten members of a family, including four women and a child, were killed and 11 other people injured when a mini-bus collided with a truck on the Faisalabad bypass on Sunday.

The family, from Lahore’s Badami Bagh area, was going to Hafizabad to attend a wedding.

When the vehicle was near the Faisalabad bypass, it collided with the truck coming from the opposite direction, due to malfunctioning of its tie-rod.

Nine of the people killed were identified as Arif, Bushra, Muqdas, 5; Bashir, Nazir, Ashraf, Sharo Bibi, Salma and Sakina.

The injured were taken to Mayo hospital in Lahore and the DHQ hospital in Sheikhupura.—Correspondent
