No clue to kidnapped doctor

LAHORE, April 16: Police have so far failed to find any clue to a professor doctor of Services Hospital who was kidnapped reportedly by unidentified people in Naseerabad on Monday.

Prof Dr Tayyab was on his way back to his Defence residence from his clinic in Gulberg when some unidentified people had intercepted his car near Zero Point, Gulberg, and kidnapped him.

A police official told Dawn that the accused had sent a recorded message in Mr Tayyab’s voice to his wife on cell phone that they had taken away him after leaving the car.

DIG (investigation) Chaudhry Tassaduq Hussain claimed that the kidnappers neither had contacted the family nor put any demand of ransom.

“We are trying to locate the position of the accused through Mr Tayyab’s cell phone and will carefully handle the situation for the safety of the abducted,” he added.
