KARACHI, April 14: The Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) has invited two juniors for trials at Islamabad next week to fill a vacant spot in the three-member Pakistan team which embarks to Delhi later this month to play juniors U-16 Davis Cup qualifiers.

The sport’s controlling body has asked Zuhair Raza and England-based Pakistani Samir Iftikhar to report at the PTF Complex on April 21. The winner will join two pre-selected players Heera Ashiq and Faizan Khurram.

It is alleged that the PTF was not doing justice to the game by pre selecting the former who is overage.

Earlier, the PTF has sent an SOS to Zuhair who was on a private training tour to Chundigarh to report at Lahore on April 11. He quickly packed up and reached Lahore only to know that the trials have been deferred.

Pakistan won the pre qualifying round held at Malaysia last month and qualified for the next stage.
