KARACHI: Cop among four killed

KARACHI, April 9: Four people, including a constable, were killed in different parts of the city, witnesses and police said on Wednesday.

Saudabad police said that constable Asghar Shah, who was posted at the office of DSP Malir City, was shot dead when he was going to his office on a motorcycle a little after midnight.

The police have registered a murder case on the complaint of the victim’s brother.

In Azizabad, a 54-year-old employee of the Pakistan Steel Mills, Ayaz Mohsin Siddiqui, was gunned down by unidentified assailants when he left his home for office early morning.

Two suspected robbers were beaten to death by people in New Karachi Industrial Area.

The bodies were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for autopsy. The bodies were later kept at the Edhi’s morgue as they remained unidentified. Hospital sources said the victims had multiple fractures.—Staff Reporter
