KARACHI, April 8: Four ships carrying containers, general cargo and to load cement are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Wednesday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was fairly active where eight ships, Alfred Oldendorf to unload and load general cargo, Mol Ability, Filippa and Faith-1 to load and unload containers, Noor-i-Madina to load clinkers, Swat, Golden Top and Lady Chiara tankers, were accommodated berths.

Sailing was also active as eight ships, Oel Shreyas, Wan Hai-301, Conti Germany, Thia Chryssoula, Atyaab, Lady Rana, Ocean Coral and Hyderabad departed, while China Star, MoL Ability, Filippa, Noor-e-Madina, Golden Top, Kapitan Byankin, Swat, Alfred Oldendorf and Torm Anholt are due to sail out on Wednesday.

A total tonnage of 0.118m tons comprising 47,024 tons of export cargo including 9,600 tons of rice and 9,806 tons of cement and 70,427 tons of imported tonnage was handled on Tuesday.

The following ships are due on Wednesday: Ninth Ocean, Hyundai Advance with containers, Lucky Arrow to load clinkers and Winco Silvia to unload and load general cargo.
