LAHORE, April 4: Heads of parties coming to power have not learnt a lesson from their past mistakes and again started taking undemocratic and vindictive steps against the opposition parties’ leaders.

Opposition leader in National Assembly Pervaiz Elahi said this while talking to PML-Q delegations from different districts at his residence after returning from Umra here on Friday, says a press release.

He said though the transfer of power to ruling parties had not been completed, they had launched a spiteful campaign against the opponents.

Condemning the registration of a false case against city district nazim Mian Amer and naib nazim Idrees Hanif, he said it was the worst example of piling pressure on opponents.

The former chief minister said the PML-Q would deal all such cases according to law of the land, adding that similar cases had also been registered against several party workers in other parts of the province.—Staff Reporter
