ECC reconstituted

ISLAMABAD, April 3: The Cabinet Division on Thursday issued a notification for reconstitution of the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC).

The prime minister would be chairman of the committee while among the members are: ministers for commerce, communications, finance, revenue, economic affairs and statistics, food, agriculture and livestock, industries, production and special initiatives, information technology and telecommunications, petroleum and natural resources, ports and shipping, privatisation and investment, railways, science and technology, textile industries and water and power.

The committee would also invite deputy chairman of Planning Commission, governor, State Bank of Pakistan, chairman of Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan, chief executive of Trade Development Authority and officers from the ministries and departments concerned.

The Cabinet Division will serve as secretariat of the committee.—APP
