MANSEHRA, April 2: Police have booked the district revenue officer for allegedly threatening court officials and creating obstructions in execution of court orders, it is learnt.

As per official record, a copy of which is available with Dawn, the district and sessions judge of Mansehra with the consent of the forest department had ordered the judicial magistrate to cut a eucalyptus tree on the court premises because it was a hurdle in smooth flow of traffic and had caused many accidents.

Police sources said as the successful bidder after cutting the tree reached the site to transport the woods to his site district revenue officer Anwar Zab along with Patwaris and other staff stopped him from doing so and asked him to leave the place.

The woodcutter filed a complaint in the court of the local magistrate, which deputed four officials to implement the court orders, but the revenue officer along with some Patwaris and other people again came there and obstructed the work. They also allegedly threatened the court officials.

On the directives of district and sessions judge Khalid Amin Khan Tareen, police registered an FIR against the revenue officer under.
