FSC judge Afzal Haider takes oath

ISLAMABAD, March 26: Syed Afzal Haider was sworn in on Wednesday as judge of the Federal Shariat Court (FSC), a day after he ceased to hold the office of law minister in the federal caretaker government.

FSC Chief Justice Haziq-ul-Khairi administered the oath to Syed Afzal Haider for a period of three years, on the basis of a summary Mr Haider himself had sent to him as the caretaker law minister.

Judges of the Federal Shariat Court, Rawalpindi bench of the Lahore High Court, Chief Justice Sardar Aslam and judges of the Islamabad High Court, secretary of the Ministry of Law and Justice and lawyers attended the ceremony.
