KARACHI, March 26: Seven carrying containers and to load cement are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Thursday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was modest where four ships, Kapitan Byankin, APL Sokhna to unload and load containers, Eastern Star to offload rock phosphate and SI Moon to unload urea were berthed after the departure of six.

The departing ships were led by Bella-1, Sinar Bintan, Csav Lonquimay, Kapitan Byankin, Creek and Conti Express, while Lucky Man, Gopa, Al-Fuliq-7, APL Sokhna and Marina Princes are due to sail out on Thursday.

A total tonnage of 90,631 tons comprising 36,501 tons of export cargo, notably rice, cement and clinkers and 54,130 tons of import cargo was handled on Wednesday.

The following ships are due on Thursday: Swat with crude oil, Cape Nego, Hanjin Chittagong, Hyundai Sprinter, Kota Mesra and Calvin G. Gibson with containers and Al-Aqeela to load cement.
