RAWALPINDI, March 22: Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) have recovered some 28.108 kg fine quality heroin and 81.840 kg charas and arrested 28 smugglers including a Thai woman besides seizing three vehicles in as many as 14 operations in one month.

This was revealed by Force Commander Regional Directorate ANF Rawalpindi Muhammad Arif Alvi in a press briefing here on Saturday.

The maximum quantity of heroin was seized at Islamabad Airport.

According to details the passengers were carrying heroin either in the false cavities of their suit cases, hand bags and laptops or in capsules concealed in their stomachs.

Mr Arif said besides preventive measures, reformatory and curative measures should be taken to discourage the use of narcotics in the society.
