KARACHI, March 22: Six ships carrying containers, palm oil, wheat, chemicals and diesel oil were accommodated berths during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Saturday.

Meanwhile, two more ships with palm oil and wheat also arrived at the outer anchorage.

Nine ships, Cap Akritas, Maersk Novazzano, Fantasy-I, Nored Vision, Hyderabad, Artaki, Liquid Success, Al-Salam-II, Anna, were busy in loading and unloading containers, wheat, palm oil, chemicals, diesels oil and coal.

A cargo volume of 142,683 tons comprising 121,971 tons of import and 20,712 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Maersk Novazzano, Liquid Success and Al-Salam-II were expected to sail out on Saturday.
