PAF fighter jet crashes

DERA GHAZI KHAN, March 18: A Pakistan Air Force fighter aircraft crashed in Rajanpur, some 130km from here, in the vicinity of Khwaja Fareed Air Base while the pilot ejected safely.

According to sources, the PAF Mirage took off from the Shorkot Air Base for Farid Air Base, Rajanpur. Before landing at its destination, the aircraft’s engine caught fire which caused its crash.

However, the pilot, Majid, remained safe in the accident. Soon after the crash, the area was cordoned off by security officials to secure the debris of the plane for investigation to find out the actual cause of the crash.
