LAHORE, March 18: The President of Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mohammad Ali Mian, has called upon the members of the National Assembly to use their expertise and wisdom to bring the country out of multiple crises of economy and administration.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, the LCCI president said that the country was passing through the most critical times of its history as the road ahead was strewn with challenges, both political and economic.

He said the new government would have to evolve all the commerce and trade-related policies afresh in consultation with the private sector to face the major challenges.

Ali Mian said that it was good for the country that both the major political parties were sitting on the same side in the parliament and were thus in a better position to take measures for the betterment of the economy. There was no dearth of resources but the country was suffering only because of poor level of evolution and implementation of policies, he added.

He said the LCCI would extend every possible help to the new government in its endeavours aimed at resolving the economic issues.
