KHAIRPUR, March 16: On the directives of district and sessions judge Ghulam Mustafa Memon, a court official raided two police checkposts on Saturday and freed three illegal detainees.

Haleemullah Memon raided the Shah Abdul Latif University police checkpost and freed Mohammad Nawaz Morejo, who had illegally been detained there for five days.

The raid commissioner took record of the checkpost into custody and directed its in-charge to appear before the court on Monday.

Altaf Morejo, the brother of the detainee, had filed a petition in the court regarding illegal detention of Mohammad Nawaz.

In another raid on Agra checkpost, the raid commissioner recovered two brothers, Muharram Ali and Khams Ali Kalhoro, who had been illegally detained there over the past week.

Gul Bahar Kalhoro, a relative of the detainees, had filed a petition in the court, seeking release of the two from illegal detention.
