LAHORE, March 15: Unidentified people allegedly strangulated a married woman at her house in Badami Bagh area on Saturday.

Police said that Farzana Bibi, 25, had contracted marriage with Muhammad Sharif of Qazafi Colony some three years ago. The couple, who were living in a rented house for the last one year, used to make shoeboxes at their home. On Thursday, Sharif went to some work outside and, on his return, he found the door open and wife dead.

The police investigation revealed that the victim resisted the killers as marks of scratches were evident at her ears and bleeding continued from her ears and nose.

STABBED: Two brothers allegedly stabbed to death their 22-year-old sister for honour in Baghbanpura area on Saturday.

Police said that Babar Hussain and Shaukat Ali of Atta Road had time and again asked Shahnaz Bibi to do away with immoral activities, but to no avail. The accused gave their sister a sound thrashing before stabbing her to death.

SUICIDE: A father of two hanged himself to death in Ghalib Market area on Saturday.

Police said Sheraz, 37, of Qasimpura, who was unemployed and drug addict, exchanged hot words with his father Zaigham. In dejection, Sheraz locked himself in a room and committed suicide.
