HYDERABAD, March 15: The employees of Sindh Agriculture University Tandojam, who were protesting for the acceptance of their demands for the last two weeks called off their protest and hunger strike on Saturday after the university administration accepted their demands.
The newly elected MPA of People’s Party, Syed Amjad Hussain Shah Jilani, held successful talks with the employees as a result of which vice-chancellor Dr Basheer Ahmed Shaikh accepted their 25 demands while issuing orders in writing for 16 demands.
Syed Amjad Hussain Shah Jilani, vice chancellor Dr Basheer Ahmed Shaikh, Awam Dost Nazim Syed Shafqat Hussain Shah and others reached the hunger strikers’ camp and convinced them to end their strike.
