KARACHI, March 15: The Consumers Association of Pakistan (CAP) has sought immediate enforcement of Consumer Protection Ordinance in Sindh and setting up of consumers’ courts.
It urged the government to protect consumers by halting adulteration, adopting standardisation and implementing a national quality policy.
The CAP arranged a walk, from Arts Council to Karachi Press Club, to mark the World Consumer Rights Day on Saturday, says a press release.
CAP Chairman Kaukab Iqbal and General Secretary Faida Essa asked the federal and provisional governments to show their commitment towards consumers by ending loadshedding, controlling prices and checking hoarding and artificial scarcity of essential items.
